Stayed awake to see this rare astronomical event, all for no avail. Its been a different experience though, the rain, the mosquitoes, bats and snacks August 12 (1am-5am).

Air Conditioners & Mid Life Crisis ?
Air conditioners today don't consume power anywhere near old ones do. Dad bought LG 4 Star AC . The next month's electricity bill was lower than the previous. I can say that one third of my life is now over or atleast nearing its extreme end. As the average life expectancy for men in Kerala is 70-ish. And what have I achieved in life ? At this point nothing. But I know the road is still not over yet, and something good can happen (it must). Hope to start the next chapter with shitload of self esteem and confidence. What's the point of one's life ? Making money to sustain oneself and one's family produce offspring and dying off ? I should supress such thoughts, they aren't positive. I'm typing this midnight, instead i should sleep..,,..zzzzzz

The Anglo Indians of Kerala are chiefly the descendants of the Portuguese, who settled down in the west coast of Malabar in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. There is a sprinkling of the Dutch, the French and the English descendants also among them. But most of them have intermingled by inter-marriages now. Persons of unmixed European blood also are there.
